Problems with "arithmetic"! (Mac only?)

Post by Hybuir »

So I was only running C+ with a fresh .lua & .lua.bak and I got this weird error at the end of the scan. Any thoughts?

I've had no bugs (that ended in the bugsack) at all.. It looks really strange..

I think, if Rollie/Bringoutyourdead are to take a look at it, you need to copy/paste the entire bug-dump, as you can only see a small part of it, on the screen-short..

Can do, and the "Count:" goes up about 800-900 counts per second :). Have a pretty long (semi hardcore) grind this weekend and I was hoping that I could get some good numbers in

Code: Select all

sigh my reply on this thread got wiped before I could save it.

This error message is very strange as the lines referenced are inside a non execution Block comment.

I don't have any way to see why the Mac client error message processing is different then the PC version. The error doesn't actually have any impact on true census data collection.. the DoTimeCounts function data is only used here at WarcraftRealms.com for the character activity charts per Rollie.

next time you get this error message send me the output file CensusPlus.lua that you normally send to Warcraftrealm. see PM for my email address

On the other hand... it could be code specific for Hybuir to stop him from displacing me from the Top 10 list.

or not

I have to point out that at current standings, Hybuir is unable to knock you off the lists alone. :D Not to mention the less fun fact that some people in the top 10s are no longer participating, so they will eventually fall off, before both of you.

Yes.. that was a joke.
However I am thinking about getting a Notebook computer that would also be able to run Wow.. at least enough to do CensusPlus runs again... I'll just have to wait and see what Greatfather Winter brings me.
I might even be able to figure out Battle pets and the CensusPlus button and other oddities.

Pet Battles are available on trial accouts, and since it's turnbased, it's possible to run on a crappy computer 8)

Just saying, i case Santa deems you a naughty boy :P

Hybuir .. good news bad news here.

At first I didn't see anything wrong with your output file.. then it hit me.
the version number associated with the file is the old 5.0.2 and not the current 6.0.0. When you did your update of the addon for MoP it must have not cleanly copied.

Please Delete your copy of the Addon and the addon files in the saved variables directory. and the censusplus file under each of the characters you use when running census..
i.e. delete anything to do with CensusPlus from your machine.

Then please download from curse.com the latest version of the addon.. and copy the directory from the zip file into your Wow Interface directory.

Follow up.. if and only if the clean install of the addon doesn't work cleanly for you..
in your email will shortly be a modified CensusPlus.lua program file.

Only use this if you are willing to be a QA tester.. reporting accurate results of errors with screen shots and when requested chat log files when and if debugging code is added in for remote testing.

i.e. be willing to suffer the same issues Balgair had to in the original testing of the 6.0.0 release.
