First on my Warlock Alt, I did a /census me which resulted in

Code: Select all

[20:18:34] Census+ Taking census of characters online...
[20:18:34] Census+ Taking census of characters online...
[20:18:34] Census+ Taking census of characters online...
[20:18:34] Census+ Taking census of characters online...
[20:18:34] Census+ Taking census of characters online...
[20:18:34] Census+ Taking census of characters online...
[20:18:34] Census+ Taking census of characters online...
[20:18:34] Census+ Taking census of characters online...
[20:18:34] Census+ Taking census of characters online...
[20:18:34] Census+ Taking census of characters online...
[20:18:34] Census+ Taking census of characters online...
[20:18:34] Census+ Taking census of characters online...
and continued forever and ever...

I then went to my Druid Main and did the same..
Still infinite loop, however, this time, is was one line per 3-5 seconds and the game froze..

I'm cool with this being removed from normal census run, but I need it to be present for manual use..

Don't know, if it matters, but on Druid, Census-window was open. Closed on Warlock.

and what levels are these characters?

and never mind... yup /census me is broken and broken

I had noted http://www.warcraftrealms.com/forum/vie ... php?t=6163
that it was being disabled.

I'm need to fix the second broken...and may or may not fix the first

I am looking at how to possibly get this information without needing /census me

I need /census me (or some other form of manual function that does the same job).

Playing on big servers, especially when new expansions are released, you don't always want to make a complete run, to record your own toon have gained a level..

Or if you migrate from one guild to another, with all your toons..

P.S. Lock was 92, main ofc 100..

Don't know if it still works, but I think in the past, Census used to pick up results of manual /who as well, so you could use that in the meantime (if it works, which I don't know for sure...). I'm with you on needing some way to census yourself, not likely to be a problem for a while now but it was taking 70-90 mins per census run at WoD launch...

actually that is the very thing I am getting reading to test.. just need to get a FTP character to 20 .. later today or tomorrow should do it.. then I can test.
I didn't want to say yup do that.. until I could verify it still works that way.

That stopped, right around the time WhoLib was implemented..

Don't know, if related or coincidence.
