News to me - Dragonlance Movie

Post by Rollie »

Dunno if any of you are fans of the Dragonlance series, but I just saw on slashdot that there is a movie in the works!

I'm sure a movie won't do it justice, but who knows...

Dragonlance owns face!

That's AWESOME.. I wrote an essay in 8th grade about why The Legend of Huma should be made a movie.. Hehe.

WAY better than LoTR. Weis & Hickman = geniuses.

EDIT: I have a Kender Spoon of Turning, given to me by my Uncle Tas....

And I've actually wrote a ticket suggesting a Naxx dagger to be named Rabbitslayer. Hehe.

Yeah, it will be very unfortunate if it's a crappy adaptation. And as with most all good novels, a translation to movie will never match up to the book. Even as good as the Lord of the Rings movies are, they still don't touch the books (if you manage to read them, lol). Too much left out, too many Hollywood emblishments or changes ...

Yeah I agree! Same thing happened to The Da Vinci Code too.
Cool effects, but highly disappointing. I'm thinking had I waited to read the book until after seeing the movie, I'd have been less disappointed. Unfortunately for me though, I'm a bibliophile. Doing that would be.. Sacriledge or something.
