Gender data collection

Post by Forestlordx »

Just wondering if there is any data collected that shows out of all the races the number that are males vs females. Would be interesting to see which race has the most female characters.

Unfortunately this data can only be gathered when you 'see' someone, and is not returned in a /who query.

I have thought about adding it in, as it would still give a decent sample size, but I just haven't done it.

What about using data collected for the profiles? It won't give a realy acurate data but it's a start.

This is another thought I had:
Besides the profile thingy. The thottbot mod scans a player when targetted. What if the cencus mod would do the same and adds the gender to a chars entry in the data array? This should work for both your side and the oposing force.

Yeah, that is how I would track gender information. I used to track target info, but I have since removed that part.

Well, I guess that answers my question. It would be nice to know the gender breakdown, but it does look like it's too involved to implement. :(
My favorite color is Blizzard Blue.
