So this isn't going to be a huge boost in confidence, but ... um... the guru guy hasn't even started yet ...
I've been tweaking things a little here and there, but nothing that would really explain the sudden surge. I did reboot the db server a few days ago which might have helped somewhat...
Anyway... not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth and all...
Pause allowing submissions?

Rollie to learn2take credit where its deserved. you still made this stuff so
Wouldn't Mind a Pause In Submission
Personally, I'd rather see my characters all up to date than be so aggrevated over a pause in the submission and being unable to upload my new characters/census info for a few days. With what you have been posting rollie about census being 8 (I think) days behind - I think it's in your best interest to pause the uploads untill you get caught up. That in mind once you allow the uploads again there will be a massive surge, and the problem may start all over again.
Well, the process has made a lot of headway in catching up. Submissions dropped quite a bit for a week or so and that may have helped quite a bit.
I have hired a db guru to come in and check things out which should provide good ideas on current problems while also making sure to address a good long term solution.
