How is the Server Archimonde ?

Post by oiseaux »

I don't usually make posts like this, but I was wondering if any of you knew anything about the server Archimonde. My husband and I are concerned that Emerald Dream(my current server) will be one of the first servers they decide to split and I have some mixed feelings about the whole matter. Instead of being forced into a split that may or may not even work, I would rather choose a server I know has a decent community and economy.

I do not need a guild that raids, but I would like a small guild to run the new 5 and 10 mans with in BC. If you know anything about this server, please tell me the good and bad. Thanks a ton! :D

I haven't played on Archimonde but originally it was perhaps THE server for l33t PvP guilds together with Illidan, a lot of strong PvP guilds from other games rolled on that server. That and the fact that the hardware was the first to be replaced gave it a very rocky start with huge queues, a lot of downtime and quite a bit of forum trolling. That is the early history of the server, what has happened since I know little about since the people I know that played there either quit, transferred or are rerolled on other servers (mostly due to queues or instability and the hardware has been replaced since).

Yeah I knew it had somewhat of a rocky past, but I was not sure how it was now. It is on the same battlegroup as my warrior from Dalaran, so I know that the battlegroup is at least somewhat decent. I have heard some ppl say their queue times can be up to 30 minutes in other battlegroups, which I do not experience on Emerald Dream. They are at most 7 minutes long . Dalaran's are very short as well.

Other than that, I know nothing about it. Thanks for your information though. I really appreciate it Alanthus. :)

Most people that I've seen tend to do a "I'm thinking of transfering here" post on the WoW Realm forum. Well at least those that transfered to Silvermoon recently have...

Go to the history button, in case you were wondering...

Who manages it? Whom so ever feels like it. However, it would appear 'Gryphon,' is what made it beautiful. http://www.wowwiki.com/User:Gryphon

I do my best to stay away from the wow forums in most cases, because at least the mal'ganis ones are like one big wretched pool of scum and villainy. Maybe I'll thank him on his talk page ;)
