Firefox Greasemonkey extension for WoW Forums

Post by Rollie »

One of our illustrious community members, Ceto, who plays Cetoh on Uther has written a nifty little script for people who use GreaseMonkey with Firefox.

When installed, this script will insert links for Character Names, Guild Names and Servers from the official forums (US and EU!) back to their WarcraftRealms.com counterparts!

See the created links in this screenshot:

In order to use this, you have to be using Firefox and you have to install the GreaseMonkey extension:

http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/

And lastly, you need to install the script:

Thanks to Ceto for this very nifty addon!

Just click the .js link and it should ask you if you want to install it!

Just a warning -- this is going to have some conflicts now. Blizzard added to the default forum setup links to the Armory in the character and guild names.

You can go check it out now, since it's live. I'm not sure how this affects this Greasemonkey script since I don't have it installed, though.

Ceto actually updated his image too, but you prob have a cached version so you would still see the old version unless you did a hard refresh ;p

But thank you too, DM!

Hmmm I noticed that at the end of the guild links it as &gt to it. Doesn't seem to be an issue when linking back to here, just a minor issue for whenever you decide to update it.
