Bug with Blizzard's WSG Map?

Post by oiseaux »

I do not have a hack installed. I swear! I can see the alliance flag more often than not on the WSG map. Here is an example of it. Do any of you ever see your own flag on the map? I can see it moving around on the map as well. It is really scaring me because I do not know why it is happening! Does anyone know why this is happening to me?

As you can see I am at the top with the Horde flag. Healing the flag carriers butt, but you can clearly see the Alliance pursuing the Alliance flag that is on my map. :?

Its been like this since 2.0 came out back in December. If both flags are being held for several mins (like 5mins or so) then you will see it appear. Its not a bug, this is how it is and you should inform your group that is where the flag is. Its to prevent turtling, and I think its a welcomed addition.

Wow...That tells you how long it has been since I pvped. Thank you DM! Now I know why the Horde (and a few alliance) randomly drop the flags. This all makes sense to me now.

yeah, that's the reason. Since turtling is the major downfall of WSG games, anything that helps prevent it is welcome in my book :P Yet another reason why AB > WSG... hehe ;)
