Need a New Thread with Poll!

Post by oiseaux »

So the threads on the main page bore me. Whats up everyone? Tell me something, I am bored and should be working. :?

Today I am stirring up trouble in the CSF. Blah I hate that forum anymore. The most annoying, closed-minded, "yes sir" people congregate there, I swear. They should rename it "Blizzard's fan club" board.

No offense DM. I see you there everyone once in a while. It used to be fun about 5 months back, but it sucks now.

I used to help people out on there, but decided it was a waste of my time. That's why they have blizzard posters. No one even listens to you anyways no matter if you text is white or green. Some of Blizzard's policies I don't agree with fully, so that gets me in trouble with the blizzard fan club who think the TOU and EULA are real life laws that would hold up in court. lmao.

My next new home is the Stormstrike battlegroup boards, but even those aren't so fun. Blah. Go go Twinks!

That poll needs a "not sure" option ;) Mixed feelings on 70, I'm out of quests on both my 70s, and my poor rogue is nearly abandoned except for farming (yawn), however my priest is still having some fun healing instances, plus I just took up tailoring so skilling that up is at least something to do. However there's nothing like enough non-group content at 70, so I hope 2.1 changes things... if not, I wonder how much more time I have left in WoW; I have fun when I can find anything to do, but my options are reducing rapidly.

Know what you mean about that forum too, I read it when it first appeared, but gave up after a while :)

Yeah, I'd have chosen a 'not sure' too.
Right now I'm pretty bored. I still have to complete quests in Netherstorm and to start with them in Shadowmoon, but I'm too bored with that. I'm grinding primals, and that's mighty boring.

But there's raiding. And I love raiding with my guild. Of late I've not been able to attend much and that pains me, but things will change soon I hope...

The adventures of spirit wolf were really really funny, but that's about all I got out of those forums :P At least I think it was on the CSF, but I don't remember... as much as I like trolling forums, the blizzard forums leave me frustrated and feeling dumber for having read them, so I usually stay away. I can barely even stomach my own official realm forum.

Playing my alts keeps me from getting too bored at 70. I mean I still have pretty much all the shadowmoon quests to do (besides the spectrecles line that I did as soon as I hit 70 since that helm is too good to pass up) plus I raid a few times a week. I hate farming so I still don't have my epic flying mount, although I'm close with the money I've made leveling alts. I am looking forward to the new quest content in 2.1, as I like to see storyline/lore stuff :)

Sorry guys. I didn't put in an undecided because I hate that undecided category. Be more decisive! lol I forced you to pick an option. =p

xpolock you are right about Spiritwolf. That is how I learned of his comics, so yes something good did come out of my time there.

The only blue I really like on their is Batta. He doesn't take crap from anyone and isn't afraid to post what he feels. He also doesn't make you feel like a moron with his vocabulary unlike Pavonum.

Lol I just didn't vote :P

Those people who still have quests to do are lucky, I'm all out of them... levelling my third character from 60-70 currently, and wondering how long it'll take him to run out too!

Would maybe help if I liked raiding, but my guild is too hardcore about raiding for me, so I wouldn't have fun joining their raids... some of us who think like me have formed a "casual" raid group for Karazhan however, which is fun... but as always my poor rogue can't join as my priest is needed, think she's fast becoming my main tbh, as she's getting so much more to do. Oh well, it's a fresh perspective on the game; I now appreciate good tanks so much more than I did as a mere dps character! :)

I have been pondering the idea of quitting the game. Sadly, I cannot do that for reasons I am unable to explain. :?

Those of you who voted No. Do you raid? What do you do at 70? Perhaps you are still trying to get your epic mounts. I farmed me and my husband the gold, so Ive got nothing to do. I see a ton of people just sitting in IF again.

This content patch won't do it for me. I am sick and tired of rep grinds. I am sick of getting 2 shotted in PVP by warriors, rogues, and hunters. I am sick of the solo content being dependent upon grinding up to exalted reputation. They need to hire someone different in their developing because whoever is making these decisions has a serious lack of creativity. It has been 2 1/2 years of rep grind after rep grind and I won't do them anymore. Since I won't do them, I cannot do heroics so my thought of leveling tailoring to be worthwhile is gone (no primal nethers ftl!). I had the girdle of ruination pattern and sold it after I realized there was no way I could get the nethers.

And the gear disparity will only get worse as people begin to raid Black Temple and beyond. Warriors will be critting for 4500 with Mortal Strike. YAY! I can't wait.

Yeah, I mostly raid at 70, although I'll pvp with a guild group for a change of pace from now and then. I hate farming and thus don't do it, so I still don't have my epic flying mount. The farming I have been doing lately has been for leveling my LW, although thick clefthoof leather is a really sucky thing to farm and buying it for 60g+ a stack of 20 is just painful. Plus, buying the consumables for raiding puts a drain on my gold supply. Usually, I make all my money leveling alts, as it's a lot more fun than farming the same mobs over and over.

I haven't really rep grinded much for the express purpose of rep grinding. I got most of my rep I needed for the heroic keys by questing/running for items without it being painful at all. The ones I'm not revered with yet (Thrallmar and Lower City) I got the items I needed before the rep I needed, and I haven't forced myself to get revered with them yet. I've never rep grinded anything to exalted; however great the item I could get might be, it's never ever been worth the boringness of the grind.

Oh, and primal nethers do occasionally actually drop in non-heroics. I've had one drop in normal arcatraz and one drop in normal botanica. It was weird because I thought they only dropped in heroics as well, but I guess I was mistaken.

Anyway, I do agree that they definitely need some kind of buttkicking to their dev team to at least bring some kind of fun change to the game. Some requirement of skill in pvp would also be nice so it wasn't mostly based on gear (I personally hate being fear locked by affliction warlocks and not being able to get off a single move before dying, but supposedly that's getting changed in 2.1.) But I digress.

Wow, this is a lot longer than I thought'd it be...

Yep, nethers have about 10% dropchance or so off last bosses in normal mode... I've seen I think four, all on the character that doesn't need them for crafting, naturally.

Endgame really isn't working well currently, it's all farm farm farm... I've farmed to get leatherworking and jewelcrafting maxed out, I've powerlevelled tailoring on my priest (still need to farm to get the last few skillpoints; at 108 netherweave per skillup that's slow), I've farmed Aldor to exalted on my rogue, and need to do the same for my priest, I've farmed Consortium to revered on both characters (and in the process got Kurenai exalted on both, at least the talbuks are pretty cool ;)), farmed instances so my priest is exalted with Keepers of Time and both characters have 4 out of 5 heroic keys... and all I have left to me is more farming, sigh.

Doing 5-mans is fun, at least when with friends (when we can get a group together, which is hard; there's a massive tank shortage in my guild with only one guy often willing to do anything other than raids), but all the farming gets boring; that's only really any fun if I party with a friend who's also farming and we just chat to pass the time, and even then it's still slow going. And for all the farming I've done I don't even have much money; my rogue has his epic gryph, but I've only got about 1.5k gold between my three high level characters, and it keeps going down instead of up; jewelcrafting is a very expensive profession to get recipes for :(

Gearing up my priest has been kinda fun lately, to be fair, but I'm beginning to run out of options to continue improving her gear... once I have the primal mooncloth robe I'm looking at Karazhan drops or heroic drops/rewards, sigh :? I'm not really sure what else the devs could do to liven things up, I guess the farming's just got a bit dull after two years for me.

Yes, farming is the easy way to keep players busy, and it's poor management of a game.
The main reason I'm playing these days is both to take my thoughts off RL and because of the wonderful people I need to keep in touch with, for my sanity.

However, I've also created a Draenei alt and tried for the first time (seriously that is) to see Azeroth from Alliance perspective. It's proven more fun than I initially thought (I also chose hunter, the OP class  ) and I think I'll level her to 70. And I'll try to join some big guild on the Alliance side of my server, I've always been curious and I want to get to know the people.

Get it right... hunters are easymode, but not overpowered ;)

It is sad that at 70 everything seems to boil down to what you can farm. Whether it be gold, mats, rep, or something else, there always seems to be more to do :?

Trust me, I have quite a few alts, and my main is a lock. And none can do what that horny chick can

(no, that's not a misspell
