Upcoming Census+ Update

Post by Rollie »

So a few things are in the works for the next update, I'm just working through a few issues.

I'm not sure at this time where this info is coming from, but somewhere along the lines, /who results are returning data for people on other servers. Perhaps if you do a /who while in AV or something. For example, I'm now getting entries with Name & Server attached. Unfortunately these entries do not have complete guild names (they are capped at 4 chars). This is also the root of why processing has been behind a few days as it broke my update process to encounter this kind of thing.

Next up, I'm working on circumventing the ACE WhoLib as it causes undesirable results while running Census+. Things like SpamSentry and others use the ACE WhoLib. Basically the end result is that after a Census is complete, you will get the Friends panel popping up possibly many times after the Census completes. For the record, this is NOT Census doing this, it's the ACE WhoLib. It's just that WhoLib is queuing up /whos that Census is commanding and then running them after Census finishes. Removing any mod that uses the ACE WhoLib will prevent this from occurring.

I hope to have a new version out shortly.

Perhaps these are just bugs in 2.1? I haven't been to a BG since 2.1 came out but now I'm actually going to see if you can msg the person on the other realm!

Hmmm, changing the text on versions accepted for updated files to 4.1.3 before you release that version for download is a li'l sneaky ;P

Well, it should still accept it even if the text reads differently =x
