Question regarding BG wins and losses

Post by jc1519 »

I can obviously see that you are not tracking every single game. How is your program selecting which games to report on? Is it totally random? If I converted your BG wins and loses into a percentage statistic what would be the likely sampling error? +/- 5%?

It tracks the games that come to use through the use of the Killing Fields UI mod.

So for a game to be recorded someone in the game must be using that mod?

Correct. Not only use the mod, but be sure to upload as well.

So, in theory the stats could be quite currupt because someone could choose to only upload winning games?

Well, they would have to edit their data file and know how to edit it, but yes, in theory if someone wanted to go through the trouble, they could tamper with the results.
