removed!

Also the guild-formation of my guild

I was never ask for permission. I don't like that this thinks are visibile for all.

Edit:
Change the side so, that only Chars are visible, who had census installed.
When you use my datas for Realm Stats or other things, were no name is displayed, i don't have any problems.

Hmmm, slightly curious, why on earth would you want this data removed?

On a different note, the only one that may have any kind of legal standing from which to demand anything like this is Blizzard since they own the characters you are playing. You are only using the characters and anything related to WoW with their permission.

The data is publically available just by logging into a server yourself so I don't think this really violates your privacy or anything.

That being said however, if you wish for your character data to be unavailable, then I suppose that is a legit request. I can add in the option for your character data to be 'hidden' from view but still used in all calculations. I'll add it to my list of things to do, but it may be a while before this comes to pass.

Yes, but you store the information.... I think that is a little bit diffrent

Yes, but anyone has the right to store that information because as someone said before me the information is public.

Why in the world though, would you want your information removed? In no way does the information collected on this site personally identify you.

GPI. I posted this in another thread but I think this applies here:
gendril wrote:Census isn't meant to be 100% accurate. That is why on the WoW message boards people that refer to Census information are consistently told that the information contained here is not accurate.

However, I love some of the features like Character History and Guild Roster. It's also nice to see what the approximate population of my server(s) are like. Unfortunately without direct access to Blizzard's own server data I don't think it will ever be possible to be 100% accurate.

With the system that is now in place by Blizzard I think the CensusPlus system is fabulous. And I like what I see on the horizon for it as well!
You probably have a valid request and I'm sure it can be done, but I seriously do wonder at why you would care to have your character name hidden from view.

Character opt outs are on my list and will probably get done before too much longer.

The one reservation I have with this is for the following purpose:

Many guild leaders/officers/recruitment use character histories to get a feeling about a character. If they come here and see that a character has guild hopped through 10 different guilds in the past 2 months, then they will know something is obviously up with this guy. Or maybe a character all of a sudden appears as a lvl 60, with no history. Then they know this character is a rename, or a server transfer.

I see lots of benefits for this being totally open, with no negatives other than someone trying to hide thier checkered past.

That's exactly what I was thinking just the words weren't coming out properly. Actually a bit of added insight as well. I didn't think of the guild history part what you said.

I think this system is a very nice thing to see what ppl do over time.
As a GL myself its nice to see how ppl developed over time and to see how loyal they are to a guild.

For no reason i have the idea any private info is shown on this site and therefore i see no reason why anybody wants his info deleted from this site.
