Been running it on Vortex Destro side for awhile...still show's like 22k players which i have no doubt isn't accurate :(

How long until the Prune takes affect for an inactive character? Once that starts kicking in it will be more accurate and we can start seeing the active pops.

Keep in mind that we're talking CHARACTERS here, not players or accounts. I have 10 active characters on Iron Rock and 10 on Red Eye Mountain as an example (it's called altitis, no known cure yet...)

Hopefully we'll see Rollie put in concurrency numbers soon, that will show us the number of players actually logged on that aren't /anon at the time of a specific census and gives a pretty good idea of active characters. /anon will mess it up somewhat but on the other hand in for instance WoW you had to deduct 10% bots/farmers from the concurrency numbers so there is always something...

It just seems something is way off on the Magnus numbers. The first six weeks I never purged my census data, and had right around 10k chars on my data. This last week I purged, and with doing census almost non stop for 3 days, and my normal 5-6 hours on my regular play days I got about 3k chars. So how is it showing that there are 78k in order players on Magnus. It doesn't even make sense. I am sure with my non stop census I caught most people and I highly doubt that I only got 10k and missed 68k in six weeks time. I understand alts, but that is an insane discrepancy and to me it seems it is adding chars, and not overwriting when its the same toon with multiple submissions....I don't know....maybe I need to lay off the crack pipe.

Yeah, that magnus figure is wrong but I think the data is collected correctly so it should be fixable. If you look at the level graph on magnus the largest number is for level 5 (549) and clearly all other levels have less characters which means we have less than 22k characters (I'm too lazy to just add the numbers for the different levels together) and it still displays 80k total.

Yeah, some of the numbers look suspect (hence the BETA part!), I'll be digging into it today.

Too bad none of these submissions count towards the Top Contributors or tickets for the Monthly drawing.

P.S. I don't know if Amazon.com still has the Black Friday deals on their website, but 60 day game cards 12.95, and the actual WAR game only $11 bucks.

I wish I would have known this on Friday.

Today, the game is $26, and the 60 day cards are $28.

Almost think it would be good to prune the data to last week Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. With all the server transfers the number are most likely way off. Or even to Thursday when more people started taking census of the destruction side. As an active player can tell you Destruction is little bigger per server than Order.

Downside is it will remove about 250k from the numbers but upside the number will be far closer to what is going on.

------

The magus number at 9k (1%) does look dead on correct. They are the least played of all classes in the game. Only one that looks wrong is the Witch Elf and DoK. The numbers are almost inverted of what is seen on most servers.

Can use character search on the warhammer website. But that would take days to look up all 1.5 to 2 million characters made so far. And not counting the 50k to 200k new KotBS and BG made today.

I believe there may be other problems at hand.

I can't even pick either of the new careers. They just are not an option to me.

Here's a new working version including the new careers:

http://www.warcraftrealms.com/censusmod ... us.0.4.zip

I still can't create characters of the new careers for some reason ...

Yeah if you didn't do the HEAVY METAL live event , and all the daily tasks than you have to wait another week to play them.

Okay, major bug fixed. When you view the census page now, you'll see why it was a major bug. Instead of having 1M active characters, we're looking at more along the lines of 200k seen thus far.

Ooops!

Order - Destro ratio got a lot more plausible now too, lets hope we see some more submissions so we can get a better idea overall...

um, we don't have info on a lot of servers and only one side on others so the number is likely to climb a fair amount.
