Ok. I never noticed this until someone pointed it out to me today. When you initially look at the overall population numbers for Warhammer it supposedly only includes players seen in the last 30 days.
I was looking at the Magnus server today, and it shows 149 people on the roster for the guild So End Our Foes which isn't close to their real active in 30 days roster count.

It shows 24 Rune Priests, but when you look at the rune priests there really is only 4 active in the last 30 days, but it does show 24 rune priests on the roster dating back to inactivities of 2008.

Has it always worked like that on the WoW census too? I looked at it, and it seems it only shows the roster count from 30 day activity which leads me to believe the WAR one is not working correctly.

The problem is each character records census data in a different directory. Used to be could scan all the servers then make a single up. But not it takes forever to upload all the servers. Hence reason number are so low or outdated. This makes if very hard for rollie to get members to upload complete census pass.

Ok. Maybe you aren't understanding what I was saying. For example when I posted this I was running census on Magnus about 8 hrs a day and sometimes 15 hours a day. The problem isn't submissions. The problem is what Warhammer Census is showing as active in the last 30 days. Instead of just showing all the active roster in the last 30 days it counts anyone who hasn't been seen but still is on the roster.Dromic wrote:The problem is each character records census data in a different directory. Example:
So End our Foes:
Warhammer Census: 201 characters when you look at the guild roster from the overall census page when you click on so end our foes guild name.
Now once you click the roster again it shows actual active at 46 players. That is what it should be calculating on the page that is showing 201 chars, and all the wrong data counts for active classes.
So it is not lack of submissions, and poor data, but that the numbers it shows for guild counts is inaccurate and shows anyone on the guild roster no matter if they havent been seen since Dec 08.
The numbers should show only the characters that are active in the last 30 days just like the overall 100k numbers for all servers shows only the active 30 day people.
Also the submissions aren't stopping on my end. I still census every server almost every day 2-3 times on my second computer, and upload them once a week since it is now a pain to individually submit each server/faction and waiting 5 mins after each one. What used to take me 1 min now takes about 3-4 hours because I don't always submit exactly on the 5 min mark. Even if I was perfect it takes about 2.5 hrs to submit every server order/destruction. Just from doing census non stop I can see the populations on servers dropping drastically. That 100k number is pretty darn accurate for all the US servers. A pretty sad state of affairs for a game that gloated about selling a million boxes on release.
