Fuxie, while I would very much like to begin uploading again ("sitting" on 30+ .luas already), I would prefer that Rollie has finished whatever preparations / repairs / prunes he sees necessary... or if he has already done something, maybe just allow upload for a limited time (say 24 hours) and with extended or normal (not removed) delay to avoid overflowing the queue as a test phase.
And then, if it seems to be working sufficiently, return to business as usual...
I.m sitting on 22 LUAs.. This is from Shadowsong only, as I've been completely neglecting anything but my main realm, since Cata was released..
I've begun doing Census on trial-accounts on my laptop, so maybe I could resume doing other realms now, as it won't interfer with my game, but it will just result in even bigger updates..
Doing census mainly on Draenor; Raluf - Nimsay - Lusmo - Quixx - Sosyan - Garthog - Trubin - Zalistra - Zesmi and Djaang
Only got 2 here since with all the issues and me wanting to stick to my main realm, I've not censused other realms at all. Would be nice to enable them again, but yes, I'd rather wait until we won't just bring the database crashing down again!
This has been killing me to not be able to work on this, but I have screaming clients who are requiring my time.
I actually think I have all of the processing updates required to handle the updates, I am just not sure the database is going to perform better than it has been which will cause a rapid backlog of unprocessed files.
Maybe for the time being only allow registered users to upload, and add a large delay between uploads (like a day instead of 15 minutes) to avoid a giant flood of uploads.
Just anything rather than letting CPU time go unused..
