How does this work, exactly?

I've specified http://www.warcraftrealms.com/uniupload.php as URL, Put in FuxieDK & password in the User Access and added CensusPlus SV..

When I click Upload-button, it uploads the file, but I can't see it ends up anywhere.. It's not in my upload-history on this site.. My toons aren't updated on this site.. My number of updates are increased..

Is it working at all?? Am I doing anything wrong?

What does the Server Response tab say when you try? It's a touch more informative than the debug log (which I'm sure is great if you're technically minded but I'm not). Uniuploader uploads are certainly working, since mine worked fine just this minute, but I'm using an older version of the program, so couldn't say if it's the newer version that's the problem or the setup of it. Have you selected where your WoW installation is, so that it can find the files? My Settings tab has a "Find WoW.exe" button to do that.

It looks like my data was processed this time (my mage has risen from lvl53 to lvl54. He was only 53 in last manual upload, and 54 in the UniUpload), but I can't see I've been creditted for the upload anywhere.

The above data was uploaded 22:08 (my time), which should be 14:08 server time. However, when I look at http://www.warcraftrealms.com/usersheet ... 012111&c=u last upload was 05:28 (13:28, my time) and this upload was also present BEFORE I used UniUpload program.

The number of entries, I can't really see if they have changed.. Forgot to write them down..

File size of CensusPlus.lua is 7.219.693 bytes, so compressed 88% = 866.363 is close enough..

Now, my mage is lvl55 on this site So far so good
However http://www.warcraftrealms.com/usersheet ... 012111&c=u still doesn't sho any update from today, and the numbers are:
This Month Updated (after upload): 28580
This Month New Entries (after Upload): 6685

Those are exactly the same numbers as before upload.. So, no credit

EDIT: 5:53 next morning.. Still no increase in my numbers.. As a proof, my mage have been seen latest 21/6-10, but I have no (registred) uploads siden 20/6-10. Being the only person who upload for this realm, that shouldn't be possible

Well... I only have CensusPlus in one place, and it does upload the right data.. But for kicks, I've manually specified wow.exe (was autodetect before)..

Fuxie, it looks like you may not be logging in to the site right. My server response is the same as yours. I just did one and on my user page it does show a submission sitting waiting to be processed. Check carefully your user and password, thats the part that links the submission with a particular account. On Options tab, under Additional Variables: first line: check box, then "user" then accountname second line check box, then "pw" then password.

I don't know how to get an image into this posting, but theres a post by Zeorth back on page 5 of this thread that shows the screen, His version is a little older, but its very close. I also checked the box for "store password securely" in my current version. 2.8.1.74

BTW, checking Auto-Upload on that options screen, you'll upload everytime census runs.

After going back and reading all the post on this thread again, I realize I was just repeating what others have said. I don't want to be annoying, just hopefully helpful.

Alright, so I'm posting mainly as instructions to myself to get this working right, in case I ever need to get this set up again. If it helps other people then great. All the various conflicting advice throughout the entire thread is hard to sort through. So this post contains instructions from start (installing the program) to finish (set it and forget it and never have to mess with it again).

Set URL to http://www.warcraftrealms.com/uniupload.php

Click the Find WoW.exe button and find WoW.

Disable 'upload all accounts'

Select only one wow account to upload from.

Activate advanced mode, click 'show svs' and enable CensusPlus.

Under 'advanced' enable Gzip.

Also set 'delayed upload' to about 120 seconds or so.

Under Options 'start with windows' 'start minimized' 'close to systray' all enabled as well as 'show in system tray' and 'auto-upload'

It needs to be 'user' and 'pw' and disable 'send/store password securely.'

You can only upload once every 15 mins, otherwise it gives an error message. Even if your previous upload was not successful. (The error message doesn't look like it's because you can't upload more than once every 15 minutes, it LOOKS like it's some sort of coding error on line 3, but it's really the 15 minute thing that causes this error message.)

Does anyone else encounter problems with UniUploader keeping settings after the program is closed?

I tried editing the settings.ini file, but it still reverts most settings to defaults, including the upload URL.

I've been looking around for information on this and for documentation of the settings.ini file, but documentation seems to be particularly sparse.

I realize this site is all but abandoned, but I'd like to inform you that for the last few days there has been no server response for the uni uploader and data is not getting submitted.

Which sucks as I finally coded an 'auto purge' option into the addon. =/

Well, the thing is... at least for me, the site was not usable at all for the most parts of 30th and 31st (WCR time). It's no wonder if the uploader fails when the whole site is down.

I do all of my uploads manually, so I need to be here to even try anything... as a rough estimate, the site was down for more than 16 hours on the 30th... and longer on the 31st. In terms of WCR time, I was unable to upload anything during the whole 31st. This doesn't guarantee that the site was down literally 24 hours as I did sleep a few hours here and there, but still... :(:(

Yeah, the site was shut down entirely for a bit, I wasn't sure if it was going to come back up. But to be clear, Uni Uploader wasn't getting a response from the server before the site went down. And now that it's back up, it's still not getting a response at all.

That sounds like a problem with your UniUploader setup then, since I'm fully able to upload my files since the site came back up. Have you checked the advice I gave here a while back? The default configuration of UniUploader unfortunately doesn't work with Warcraftrealms so you have to change a couple of settings to make it respond.

I got it set up and working just fine. None of my settings have changed.

Regardless of bad settings, the 'server response' would show SOMETHING. Like, your data has been submitted but not credited to you, or we tried to submit your data and got an error message, something like that. Even if it was set up wrong. Before it stopped working, it was working and showing me getting credit and my page on the website showed that I had submitted data. It was working just fine.

Now my Server Response tab is stuck at "Any Data returned by primary URL will be displayed here." And even if I start and stop WoW, or even if I click the 'upload' button to upload it manually, there is zero server response and it stays at "Any Data returned by primary URL will be displayed here."

So it's not a problem with my UU setup.
