SavedVariables Directory

Post by TheJoKeR »

Blizzard has pushed out with 1.7 patch a new method of storing variables for the addons. Have you taken this into thought with the upload of data to the site and which lua should be uploaded?

Thanks

Until I publish the next version of Census+, you can actually continue to send in your SavedVariables.lua file or you can submit the /SavedVariables/CensusPlus.lua file. With the next version of Census+, you will only be able to submit the /SavedVariables/CensusPlus.lua file.

Now that the variables are stored seperatly, how do we update character profile data?

I will be changing the upload area on the site to accept multiple files to accomodate profiles, as well as auctioneer data. I just have to 'git 'er done!'.

The new upload is very nice. Seems to take less time to upload the .lua files seeing that they are smaller in size.

Does anyone have any insight on how to get the UI uploader to work with the new configs in the game. I have yet to get it to work with uploading data. Just seems to sit here when I try to push out the files to the server. Just setup instructions for this server would be great.

Thanks

They are working on a new version for UU. As soon as it is release, I'll post the details on how to get it working for WR.
