Lots of new stuff!

Post by Rollie »

I have added a few more features to the site. I added a Guild Progression tracker that will follow guild progression through high end raid level content.

In doing so, I had to add a lot of supporting infrastructure that will also give us some additional cool new features.

You can now update/add custom guild information such as your guild's website and a place to put a blurb about your guild.

You also now have the ability to 'claim' characters and associate those characters with your login account here on WarcraftRealms. You must have a character associated with your account that is in any guild you wish to update.

To help keep track of your characters, I also added a My Characters page that will show you information on all characters you have 'claimed'.

In addition to all the above, when you 'claim' a character, only you will be able to update your signature in the sigmaker.

There were some problems with logging in to the site area, so I did additional work on the site login. Realize that logging into the site will not log you into the forums. Logging into the forums SHOULD also log you into the site if you select the Remember Me box when logging in.

There are some additional features coming that utilize these recent changes so check back soon!

If you notice anything not working correctly, please speak up! I did some testing on it all and it appeared to be all good so let me know if you run into any problems!

Let me know what you think of these new features as well!

I would like to support more alliances. Maybe a way to flag if it was solo or with an alliance. As far as the bosses listed, that's definately up for discussion as I just went with the obvious ones for now. There are other less major bosses that could easily make the list.

Another feature that would be nice is to be able to mark instances/bosses as "In Progress". This would be useful for those guilds that have started tackling a boss but haven't defeated it yet.

Hmm, in my experience whenever you install an addon, it is automatically enabled. When you log in, simply type /census and you're all set.
