Roll-back - missing submissions

With the roll-back, I have no submissions since 27/2 (thursday)..

I know for a fact, that i submitted 28/2, 1/3, 2/3 and 4/3.. Any chance, these submissions will come back?

I'm sure, some people have lost more submissions that I have..

I think the rollback effectively turned into a combo pack of submissions from the time period. Several people had insanely high result levels for certain files, myself included. The current values are most likely a far better representation of truth. I am thinking this, because the amount in my list from the 4th is more characters then several of the files I submitted even had, total. This is further amplified by the fact that I was ASLEEP when that entry was made.

I also have a compelte rollback, nothing since Feb 21st for me, although in fairness I did take a week or so off around that point

Lucky for me I think all my submissions recently have been in the last 3 days, and I haven't pruned down that far yet... fingers crossed!

I hope more data can be recovered... because it seems Fuxie is not the only one... Padanfain is not listed at all for this month... and I think there are others missing as well.

I'm also missing submissions since the beginning of march, that I know were true & honest numbers.

Sorry all, I understand the site is having growing pains & such but this right pisses me off.
I do not save my files, once they get submitted they are gone because I purge & prune them, especially since I found out that they cant be over a certain size. I had to prune around 2000 chars to get one file to upload & I then purged it to start anew.

Suffice to say I am not a happy camper at the moment. I thought some of the numbers by players that just reappeared look wrong but I didnt judge them thinking they had come back after 6months to a year or more of being gone from the site.

I didnt do anything at the end of feb, I had other things to attend to for the past couple months so had slacked off, figured I'd restart this month but now I dont know if I want to do this instead of spending time levelling all of my chars.

I also may have lost some submissions.. though I think I haven't pruned so I should be able to recover.

I'll ask Metalbeast if he can resubmit posted updates from 2/27? - 3/4?.
I"m hoping and assuming that he still has those uploaded files.

If so you will see as 1974ER has stated odd submissions in your name and for those of you with un-pruned data in your new submission will see these resubmissions as very low or even 0 0 counts.

I just had my submission from yesterday reprocessed..(I resubmitted)
Yesterday it showed over 10k characters
Today it has 223 and 223 and the processing time was much slower today then it was yesterday.

An email the Metalbeast sent me this AM showed that with his background work on the system we were sustaining over 4 million database queries per hour.. over 1200/second.

So as some have been saying.. I think it is time to pause in uploads until Metalbeast has gotten further along in fixing the DB.... maybe a few days or so.
I'm going to make an Announcement about this.

Shouldn't be the same both sides, so one of them's wrong, definitely best to give the database a rest for now I think! I'll just back off on censusing too for a day or so, got D3 to play anyway

I'm back, sorry for spitting earlier, I'm calmer now & hoping this mess can be worked out.

But can I make a suggestion? Since this seems like it will take a day or more to figure out? Can something be put on the uploader page so you dont keep getting more & more files submitted because not everyone may come here first?

The only reason I saw an issue was I checked my profile page to figure out which 3 files I had submitted last & saw nothing since the end of Feb. Then I popped here to the boards & it took me a bit to find out that there were issues.

Not only have I lost 4 submission, but the last one, which should contain everything lost in roll-back AND census from yesterday, resulted in ZERO updates...

And I even uploaded Draenor-data 20ish minutes befor Balgair did..

About an hour ago Metalbeast sent me a note
Warcraftrealms.com like every other web site is composed of a number of different sub-systems. All of the systems have to work together and be synced with each other.

Apparently one of a number of different IT people who have their hands in the pie either misunderstood or just goofed as a couple of the sub-systems were running in a different time zone from the others.

This could cause upload data to be rejected because of time stamp issues.
or it could allow upload data to be accepted but then display as if it had been rejected.
or it could cause ... I've asked a number of questions that I hope will clarify the issues.

I'm hoping to find out one of the following:
data is in but not displaying.. Metalbeast can fix
data is not in but Metalbeast has uploads and can reprocess
or data is not in, and the uploads were lost.. requiring us to reload.. once Metalbeast has verified issues have been fixed

It looks a bit low, but maybe Balgair sniped Draenor

But it's pretty clear, that I didn't get althe updates the file contained (haven't purged/pruned for a long time) from 28/2 to 4/3...
