Levelling is a tricky one; I agree that I loved the freedom of older times. But I also love the storytelling of newer zones, which unfortunately can't be managed so well without some phasing and linear questing. Ideal solution would be a good mix of the two, but it's probably hard to get the balance right.
It's better now than it was back in Cata, though, at least now you do get a choice of hubs fairly early in most zones! Once you get through that bloody Tanaan intro experience, that is... I knew the first time I did it that it was the kind of thing that REALLY needs an option to skip on alts, and yeah, I'm utterly sick of it now.

Re: Closing in on One Million Uploads of Data
I have cut that cuff off and thrown it away... as it was so bad for doing calculations.bringoutyourdead wrote:In Ten Years of Census Runs we have had over 940,000 uploads.
Off the cuff calculations says we should hit 1,000,000 uploads later this year.
Will YOU be the One Millionth upload?
Due to the change in how people are uploading data, not as frenetic as before, the One Millionth upload is still some time in the future for us.
The current count is over 977 thousand.
If I did not miscalculate, to reach 1000000 uploads before the end of the year, we need about 76 people to upload once per day and a handful of more rarely actives.
Sad thing is... I do not think we have 76 daily actives left.
The EU listing is almost entirely red. Even some of the realms I try to cover have fallen red as a single daily submission only brings in about 30 updates per 30 days, which is not even enough to maintain yellow level on those factions...
