How long before you got tired of playing your ...... class?

Post by neuronomad »

Hello second time poster, long time troll.

I have been playing WoW for just over a month now. I am so freaking hooked it isn't funny. The only thing keeping me from playing 24 hours a day is that I have a baby girl that I have to take care of, lol.

Anyway I started out with a Human Warrior during 14day trial, played him up to lvl13, got bored with him and decided that I didn't want to continue to level him up anymore. Then I moved on a a Human Priest which I just leveled to 30 and now I am bored with her and thinking about trying a new race/class.

Trying to decide if I want an Orc Shaman, Tauren Druid, Gnome Warlock or a Troll Rogue. Oh the chooses.

My question is what classes have you tried and got burnt out on before reaching endgame? Classes that you have actually leveled at least to 10 before moving on that is.

Should have read the post before I voted... I voted on the character I got burnt out on AFTER I reached the "end game" =)

I keep trying to level up a paladin. I always get to around level 20 and no further. Four times now! LOL!

Pally is fun 20-45 or so but it's a bit limited, in a game with runaway dps a class with a dps tradeoff for armor and heals simply doesn't work. Still I think I got most fed up with either rogue (stealth - kill horde, restealth - no challenge) or warlock (same exact pattern to pve pulls all the time). Still, I have all classes at 40+ now, expansion should come just in time for me to have completed the game as it stands now on all classes ;)

I think I am going to roll up different classes until I get them all to 30 and then decide which one (or ones) that I want to continue to 60 with.

I didn't vote... 'cause I don't get bored of playi9ng my classes, well sorta... I played my first Hunter to 24, my mate took me PvP all the time, I got killed al the time by the local gorillas in STV while on my way to RedRidge... I had fun (my mate was on his shammy, 30 at the time) but soon ran low on cash and deleted the poor hunter.
After a months of not playing WoW I made myself a Warlock, got him to level 28... I guess you could say I got a little bored, but that ain't true, my mate made a Mage at the same time, and I was like 10 levels higher than him so i was power leveling him on quests in Stonetalon and Ashenvale, but soomn lost interest with that... so I made a Druid. I got him to level 42 in 2-3 weeks, but sadly decided to make a Shaman and give them ago. At this point my mate has his Shaman at level 34, and his Mage at level 25. I play my Shaman tirelessly and get him to levle 35 in 2 weeks... during this period, I did not delete any charatcers but I sold all of my Warlocks possessions and had him hold onto money, Tailroing and Enchanting reagants for future usage. At level 35, I got bored of questing with my Shaman, and moved back to my Druid... my mate at the time was now levle 40 with his own Shaman. The druid, whom of which i had gotten tired of grinding SM with, was now going to quest like a ?@%$& and get high! Got him to levle 60 in not too long, and got him to become reknowned in among my fellow Guildies and the server as a helper to lowbies :D
I have him at level 60, my Shaman at 35, my *poor* Warlock at 28, and also a Warrior at 24 (who I am wanting to level badly), a Hunter at level 22 (not doing anything with atm) and a level 10 Priest (who is level 150 in Tailong and 110 in Enchanting) who I wanna levle to atleast 20 in a few days...
Can't say I am getting bored of any classes really, keep al of them and you cna keep teh variety going with you.... sadly I am a little eager atm, since my computer's fan is nackered, and the comp keeps rebooting, so I can't play WoW now... and I got a Raid on ZG friday... not too groovy atm
Lunrain: Tauren Druid, Level 60 - Dunemaul (Euro server)
Reijoise: Orc Warrior, Level 24 - Dunemaul (Euro server)

My first toon was my warrior, got him up to 10, then started a NE druid, once he was lvl20 I got bored and didnt want to progress him any further, so I went back to my warrior and went all the way with him.
But IMO the most boring class to play is the Rogue, it just felt like such a grind, stealthing all the time and having to sneak up on mobs.

Ive just started a shaman, which is alot of fun to play :)

Surprises me that people find the rogue boring; it's so much fun! :) No need to always play it the same, you can stealth and open from there, or just use a ranged pull - I use either, depending what I feel like (although for the sake of money and occasional gems, I usually stealth and pick the pockets of any mobs with them - did you know that oozes have pockets, and picking them is the best way to get something worthwhile from those disgusting creatures? ;))

You can solo things most classes can't get near thanks to stealth, you don't need to carry half as many instance keys as most people because you can pick most locks, with sap and evasion it's easy to take on 3 or more mobs your own level, you never have downtime waiting for mana to regen (how I HATE playing my mana-using alts because of the amount of time I have to spend sitting around drinking!), you can do an insane amount of damage and your high dodge chance means you still don't take much damage in return. I simply love playing a rogue, can't see myself ever getting bored of it :)

My Frost Mage can solo more things than your Rogue can :).

I did say "or more", and anyway I'm not bothered if you can AOE a campful of mobs to death - I have fun playing a rogue; that's all I'm trying to say :P

I didn't mean AoE ;)

I meant going after level 62 elites solo and killing them. =)

I'm not burned out on any class yet, either. I have my L60 rogue, an L23 holy priest, and an L16 hunter. I also had an L16 druid on Burning Legion. Haven't played anything but my rogue enough to even come close to "burned out."

Mage and Warlock are the only classes I've actively avoided. I'm not a huge fan of casters, for whatever reason. (I consider "healers" different than "casters.")

Well been a been a week almost since I posted the topic and since then I have leveled every class up to at least 10.

As stated I already had a lvl 30 priest. I quite playing her because though I enjoyed running instances and being in parties (never had a hard time finding a group) I had her Holy Spec'd and she couldn't hold her own in PVP.

I would say that the three classes I have had the most fun leveling up a bit would be Shaman, Warlock and a Warrior. I like my mage but felt I had too much down time with him.

My Shaman has been fun and quick to level with very little downtime. My lock while a little more downtime than my Shammy, has been fun now that I have my VW.

I may end up rerolling a new priest and shadowspec her though.

I can outdamage rogues, hunters and mages (except in AoE of course), can outheal druids.
