Reins of Rivendare

Post by Warlock »

Has anyone actually gotten these to drop off the Baron in Stratholme? And if you have is the mount faster than an Epic mount? I heard they drop for those groups who have at least one member who is exalted with the Argent Dawn.

Given the rarity of the drop, its hard to predict if a pattern does exist. As far as I've read its the same 100% Speed increase like an Epic mount...

But if you must by Exalted with Argent Dawn or what, we dont know as its a very rare drop and no pattern has been discovered yet..

It's not a pattern from what I heard, its like the icon you get for your mount, its just the reins to the Baron's steed.

....you didn't get what i meant.... The word Pattern that I said is not the same as a Pattern that you need for the Tailoring skill...

heh
ive never seen them drop, however i am not exalted and i am the closest TO exalted of anyone i know. gotta love hte damn waters.perhaps i will spend the next several days getting to exalted and then see if hte damn things drop.
to me it would be kinda ass for hte reins to drop and be lootable by the entire grp and some asshole 55 rogue whos never been there b4 wins.
imo it should be like the heads. should only be visible/lootable to someone whos reached the point of accessability

Maybe they can only be used by people exalted with the Argent Dawn.

There's no AD requirement for them - just read the comments on Allakhazam and so on and you'll see people who've seen them drop in raids where no-one was exalted. And if there was a requirement to even use it it'd show on the tooltip info, which it clearly does not from Allakhazam and Thottbot's information.

Wish it wasn't quite so rare though; I'd really really love to have it! Never seen anyone with it, so I have the feeling it's not even dropped once on my server... certainly I'd know about it if anyone on Alliance had it (kinda hard to miss an undead warhorse in among all the normal Alliance mounts!), and I have an undead friend who hasn't heard of it on horde either.

I saw it once in Ironforge. A level 60 warlock mounted up and rode out. I was a lowly 30 something season noob, so I didn't know what I was seeing.

There is a paladin on Dalaran that has it. Honestly, it isn't all that different looking, but i guess it has bragging rights.

But then again maybe I am just jealous. I spent 3 months farming for the Winterspring mount. Now that is a pretty mount!

mmm I love the Frostsabar's! If its one mount that I would work for if I was a Night Elf, it would be the Frostsabars.... Those are cool :)

But i'm farming HK's for the PVP mount as that is prob the quickest way for me to get an epic mount. 900g IMO, would take awhile... unless your lucky to get some epic items which sell for several hundred on the AH ;)
But luck like that doesn't come my way very often :(

Personally I haven't seen it, but when your Horde you see alot of undead epics riding around, and it can be very difficult to spot a PVP horse from Baron's mount from just a normal epic mount. They all glow in color and have their minor detail changes... But overall you wont notice when someone zooms by on one.

Same goes for the Frostsabars, they dont really look any different then the Nightsabars, just minor changes. But overall its the same. But spot a Gnome on a Nightsabar is something worth staring down :)

I want that for my Druid. But purple is my favorite color, so the work I have to put into it is going to be worth it!

I dont think its possible to get a Night Elf mount at 40... many have tried but many have failed. I have yet to read of someone who was able to do such a thing. Maybe when your 50 or something... But not at 40.

Many who have tried everything from starting a lvl 1 human in Telldrassil and doing every single Darnassus quest, but nothing :(

Good luck tho, maybe you can beat the odd :D
