What Will You Do When The Expansion Comes Out?
There will be so many new things to try out that I have a feeling it will split the community on whether to level your 60 to 70 or reroll a character with one of the new races.

I want to level my 60 to 70, and do some of the new end game stuff, but after I hit 70, I'm probably going to roll a BE (yeah I know).oiseaux wrote:There will be so many new things to try out that I have a feeling it will split the community on whether to level your 60 to 70 or reroll a character with one of the new races.
I think they're going to be a cool race with the counterspeller. And, since I'm a dorky chick, and I don't like the looks of the other horde races, but I'd like to roll at least 1 horde. lol
I should probably spend some time leveling my Druid to 60, but I've found the new world of level 60 has so many things for me to do, I can't bring myself to do it. Go figure.

Depends on when it's out, most likely me and wife will get some content for our 60's that's soloable/duoable but considering we won't buy gold etc. I'm guessing the travel times will just be too much without a winged mount and most likely the gear curve will be even steeper so I'm more looking towards new MMO's like Age of Conan and W.A.R. to occupy us by then.
I totally understand what you are saying. As long as my husband is playing WoW I will be, but I have already canceled my account once because he quit the game.Alanthus wrote:Depends on when it's out, most likely me and wife will get some content for our 60's that's soloable/duoable but considering we won't buy gold etc. I'm guessing the travel times will just be too much without a winged mount and most likely the gear curve will be even steeper so I'm more looking towards new MMO's like Age of Conan and W.A.R. to occupy us by then.
The gear curve is one of the reasons why I am a little hesistant about the expansion. I am afraid it will eventually break the game for those that are "casual". As it stands now I will be buying the expansion and just leveling to 70. That all may change though with time.
Just re rolled so will get this guy up to 70.

I'll definitely get Sianni and Rhiasi to 70, and by then my newest little character, a Paladin on Runetotem, will probably be 60 as well, so I'll need to work on moving her up too. My husband and I duo, so I'm hoping Blizz keeps the game duo-able through 70.
I keep wanting to experience Horde side, but I just can't keep interest in a character there because none are "pretty" (oh well, so sue me). So I am anxiously awaiting Bloodelves. Hubby and I will roll up a pair of Bloodelves after the newbie plains clear up to get a Horde experience.
I have no faith that the Alliance race won't be some kind of "monster" race, so I have no interest in exploring that.
Ah well. I hope they get the expansion out this Summer! I just wish they added some new classes

gona lvl to 70
well i will gona make my chars all lvl70 and thn gona make a new char if bliz give alliance a decent faction
I'll be levelling my one current 60 to 70, so long as it's not too hard for a "casual" player without all the epics from current 40-man raids (well, I might have some of them by then, depends if I run out of other things to do or not - it doesn't appeal to me but I'll do MC and the like if there's really nothing else left) After that I'll see what the new Alliance race is, then make some alts
Still not sure if I'm getting the expansion though; I read a rumour that the Outlands might be forced PVP-enabled even on PVE servers. If that is true, I won't buy it; I rerolled from PVP to PVE simply because I hated PVP, so being forced into it again does not appeal in the slightest. However I imagine that's just a rumour and there's no truth in it... I hope!

Oh heavens I hope not... I'm not a forced PvP fan either. A little BG action, or RvR like in DAOC I can do, but PvP-gank-whenever-you-can turns me off. I won't buy the expansion at all either if that's the caseI read a rumour that the Outlands might be forced PVP-enabled even on PVE servers

I doubt Blizzard will make Outlands FFA on PvE servers, that would alienate a big chunk of the player base... but then I thought they would make end game elements accessible to casual gamers for the same reason...
I enjoy balanced PvP but running around in the outlands with effectively level 50-60 gear being ganked by people in level 90+ gear isn't my idea of fun either.

I'm hoping that's only a rumour, but I think it came from the magazine article that was circulated about the expansion a while back... I'm just hoping they made that bit up or it doesn't go into the final release, as it'd ruin the game for those of us who prefer PVE. I'm on a PVE server for a reason; if I want the Outlands to be PVP enabled I'll go and play on a PVP server, or just enable PVP manually
