Odd Spam

I seem to be getting spam while running the census lately, the problem is it isn't limited to one class or race and it seems to be fairly random;ie: it doesn't always happen with the same race or class as the last time it happened. Not a big deal since I rarely watch my chat windows that much anyway but just thought I would give you a heads up.

hrm, if you could get a screenshot when you see it happen, that could be very helpful =)

Okie Dokie,

I took 17 reads across 10 servers, some were PVP hence the reason why an odd number. I had 9 instances of spam occur this time.

Eitrigg- human priest 60-60
Rexxar- Horde 51-55
Bloodscalp- Troll war 60-60
Orc Warlock 60-60
Orc Rogue 60-60
Muradin- Horde 36-40
Horde 21-25
Horde 16-20
Nightelf War 60-60

Since it seems to be fairly random I'm assuming there probably isn't anything you can do with it though.

Seems like the normal spam you get when there's 3 or fewer people matching the search query - I get that exact same thing if I have verbose mode on. I don't believe that's a curable thing; it's the way the game responds to /who requests.

Thats what I thought at first but it happens with 8 or more in some cases, and I'm not sure if I loaded the pic or not but a couple of them it returned outside the original query limits.

I'm not overly concerned, if someone said something important to me at the exact moment the spam happened then they can repeat it later.

Ah, yes, if you have 'Verbose' mode on, this is expected. To stop the spam, just open the options and deselect Verbose.

Hehe I like having verbose on though, I like to see what it's doing while it's doing it when I am on realms other than my own. Is the verbose mode universal or can I turn it off on some realms and leave it on other realms? Otherwise, like I said, it's not a big deal, it just kind of surprised me to see character names scrolling by all of a sudden. hehe

The Verbose option is universal.
