The test realm is coming along alright... but I see it being rough if it does go live tomorrow. Guess we'll see, haha... I'm hoping it's a couple more weeks so they get more stuff ironed out, but I don't really have a mage or shammy so I guess that's why :P

The mage talent review is only so-so, imo. They did a much better job with Priests.

Yeah, I'm pretty much going to be in the exact same place I was before the patch. Except I'm happy for evocation as a base skill. I miss that from when I had an arcane build.

I'm happy with the new Mage talents. Right now (1.10) all I had was 16 points in Arcane just for Evocation and Imp Arcane Explosion, all of which are changed. So I no longer have any points in Arcane. I'll be a Fire and Frost combo, but more heavy on the frost.

Not much is changing for warlocks. They did change fear around a little but I didn't do any pvp on there to see if it was nerfed or not. I just love playing on the test realms with the uber gear, so that makes me sad it will be gone.

I agree that mages got screwed with their review. They still have to place a ton of points in arcane to get a good counterspell. That should have been part of evocation and arcane explosion. But I guess that would have freed up too many talent points and made sense for blizzard. Luckily for ALL casters is that the new tier 3 gear has no resists on it like the Tier 2 which causes waaay too many resists and partial resists. It is rather annoying in PVP. Also ice mages are gonna have a hard time in Naxx haha which I think is why they are allowing the money on talents to decay over time. Mages are gonna have to respec a lot! Or guilds will have to start recruiting mages of all specs. I guess we will find out later today. Start grinding that Argent Dawn rep for easy 18 slot bags.

A bit disappointed with the mage review, yeah - my mage is (was) primarily Arcane, which has been utterly butchered so there's not much worth getting any more. Nice to have the best talents for free but nice things to replace them would've been good (that +armour talent is a joke)... as it is I think I'm going fire/arcane now. Ho hum.

AD rewards look good, except the only two rogue items both have better equivalents outside of 40-man raids, dammit. Might get the bracers, just depends how long it takes me to get the drop for the ZG ones (which aren't quite as good, but as I already have the drop for the shoulders, the set bonus for both makes them better). Darkmoon necklace is better, and nothing else is aimed at rogues, but the bag will be nice anyway :) And my priest wants the +healing ring and bracers a lot - looking forward to levelling him up enough for them :)

Btw, is there much in the way of bugs yet? Europe hasn't got the patch yet (our servers only went down 2 hours ago), and I can't get into either set of official forums as usual, so I've no clue how many things have broken with it so far ;)

I wish I could have actually played today. I logged in for a quick second to test something with the C+ mod on a toon that I only use for censuses, and I went to log into my main server, and it wasn't letting me log in. They're restarting it like soon, but, I haven't been able to get in all night, and I had the patch done 5 hours ago. :(

Doh, the fun of patch day. Hmm, my server is renowned for usually being among the last to go up, or to be the one that dies altogether... tomorrow's going to be fun :)

Yeah, I'm probably going to end up Fire and Frost now, instead of Arcane/Fire. I was actually pretty happy with my 1.10 set up, and I'm sure I'll get less irritated with the 1.11 set up in time.

If Blizzard ever gets the damn paid transfers in place, I'll be much happier and won't gripe at all about talents because I'll be off of Elune.

It sounds like they bugged Blastwave, from the people on the Mage Forums.

Oh, and Elementalist ftw. I'm so happy my Scorches will be critting for over 200% :D

Well now that the patch has came out I think that it came out pretty good. The Scourge Invasion world event was kind of horrible if you ask me. I almost wish that they could have spread the event out more for less sprawl.

I like the scourge event. On Cho'gall there was a lot of world pvp going on because of it! Anything that promotes PVP outside of those BGs sounds good to me.

So far so good on the patch... I'm a rogue so I didnt see much happen...

I kind of wish that the scourge event wasnt so upper level. It would have been nice to have some scourge mid levels (like 30's or so) instead of 7's and 60's... Just another thing to avoid for the next few weeks, i suppose... :?

The event's nice but I hate anything that ends with massive numbers of people all trying to kill the same mobs. Great for casters with aoe and instant-cast ranged attacks, but hell for rogues... I managed to pick a bunch off from the edges of the groups, very late at night (ie when less people were around), but it's hardly fun. Having said that there's not a lot else they could do, and it's nice to have something different going on.

Yea me and my friend (mage full tier 2) clear whole camps at a time. We just get a warrior or something when we have to kill the shadows... its really quite easy but it seems to become very crowded.

The nodes in EPL will always be crowded. Head to some of the other under attack locations for some better farming. My husband and I were at one in Tanaris for at least an hour and only saw 2 other alliance show up. Most people are realizing once you kill those shadows the other ghosts will disappear, so no one is actually 'winning' the fights anymore. haha I have seen the rare mob twice, but was unable to flag it before someone else.

It's good stuff. I have the chest and bracers of undead slaying already, just need to gather a few more runes for the gloves. (I wanted the AD tabard more than the gloves.)

My.

Shaman.

Mages got evocation base, droods got innervate base, shaman got.. Screwed? In PvE we did. We got a little buff on our pvp trees, and a minute one on our resto tree.. But we needed something a LITTLE more powerful than shitty mana tide. Hell, Blessing of Wisdom RANK ONE is still more effective then the highest rank of Mana Spring.

Since I'm not big on pvp with Anar (That's why I have a 40-49 pvp rogue and a 29 hunter twink..) it looks like I'll be switching to my human warlock as my raiding main. Hooray.
