Wonky timestamps...

Post by NiennaMiriel »

Now, I can't remember exactly what time that timestamp is, but no matter what that timestamp is, I think there's something wonky with my UniUploader methinks:

Can someone remind me what time zone the timestamp relates to? I think it's UTC, but that would make it 3:34am, and I'd have been asleep at that time. I guess I'll have to look at it when I get home, but there's no way that I logged out of WoW to upload a file at 3:34 am.

This is more curious than anything else. I don't care when it uploads, just wondering when it's happening and why.

BTW, UniUploader helps me remember to upload! :) What's great is that I have two sites with the same login info, and I can upload to both using it.

Hrm... I am pretty sure those displayed times are CST... I'll have to crack open the data and have a peek.

I don't know, because my uploader time stamps look correctly corrolated to when i did my census's and I'm in EST. So, when i uploaded at 11:30 pm my time, it seems to have logged it as 23:30:00, but i'll check tonight when i upload...

If they're CST, then that's even weirder, because I clocked in to work at 7:37 this morning. heh

I guess I have to experiment tonight! :)

Could easily be EST. I just haven't given it much attention.

Also, Uniuploader could upload while you were not expecting if you ahve something like a virus scan going that touches the file and makes UU think it has changed, thus submitting it again. Could that be it?

First of all, at least mine are displaying in CDT. Since I looked at my UniUploader, and it had 8:30 as well.

I just looked at my virus scan and it had 8:00, which could very easily been when it started, and it took half an hour or so to scan, or at least hit that file.

Mystery solved. Not as cool as I was hoping. ;)
