The new look seems to be affecting my ability to update data

I try to submit data and the screen eventually goes blank and then when I try and my characters it doesn't show a submission

it also doesn't matter what size the file is. My normal file was 1.5mb, but I created a new file and did a scan of only 800 chars and a file size of 89kb and it didn't take it.
