2v2 Arena

Post by Eyeball-Dragonmaw »

Okay. I am running with a disc priest/rogue combo, and we faced a pally/hunter combo.

The hunters scorpid would eat me alive with mana drain.

We tried several strats, and nothing seemed to work.

I tried just running and kiting, but the stupid scorp is always on my tail draining my mana.

We even tried killing his scorp first, and still was impossible.

Has anyone done this combo, or have ideas on how we could beat this team?

Any help would be appreciated.

LOS the hunter as much as possible, rogue pushes paly to bubble then either avoid or turn to the hunter. When bubble drops, rogue goes back and kills paly. Profit!

Since you have mass dispel you could also have the rogue push the hunter and you just be ready to dispell the bubble. Of course this one sucks if the hunter is really good at kiting the rogue.

Biggest thing is to just LOS the hunter as much as possible. You could also always mana burn the hunter. Most hunters won't have more than ~6k mana which means after a few MB's, he'll be worthless.

Yes those all so familiar words....LOS. It is the perfect plan. The biggest problem is my rogue is all over the map, or never in healing range of my LOS area so I always have to try to run out in the middle to try to get heals off. I guess we need to work on that, but every week I have to find another rogue cause everyone is more interested in buying points than staying on a team, and earning points the real way. With new players every week you never can get strats worked out.

Yeah, it takes good coordination and partnership. Your partner has to be disciplined to stay nearby, and not get bloodthirsty to chase an opponent at all costs. Sometimes it is better to let them get away, switch targets, something.

Granted I'm no leet PVPer with a 2200 rating, but am sitting around 1850 2v2.

You also need to have a partner that you can play with long term. There are many nuances of playing together that only really start to gel when a team has been playing together for a while.
