Compatibility issue when using SpamMeNot

Post by Dromic »

http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addo ... e-not.aspx

This addon causes major problems for census+.

List of issue are:
-Stops auto census,
-Delays /who that census users and in doing that gives false results,
-It makes census+ see 50 when in fact there are only 9 (/who 30-39 has 9 characters and census+ was being told 50+) Or see under 50 when in fact there are 100s. (Blood Elf lvl 80 reported 2 and there are where over 300 when I did a manual who)
-Makes the /who window pop up when census+ ends a run.

Till Rollie or the author of spammenot can find a fix would not run these two addons at same time. I noticed in people comments there are lots of conflicts with spammenot and other addons.

I can confirm this, my Census results are incorrect when done with SpamMeNot running in the background.

Yup, I've been using SpamSentry, which uses libwho and it keeps popping up and interrupting things. Anyone know of a good spam filter that doesn't use libwho?

Is there really even a need for them anymore? Sure, I see the occasional gold spam, but it's pretty light these days from what I've seen.

Actually, I use mine to filter out all the moron kids as well that like to link that "anal" crap. That's the truly annoying stuff.
