Tracking Local PvP Areas (Wintergrasp)

Post by Poveglia »

I was wondering if there was some way to track local-to-server battlegrounds and battle areas? (Times of battles, etc.)

I'm thinking of WINTERGRASP (in particular) but I suppose this question also adresses these places:
Halaa
towers in :
Hellfire Peninsula,
Zangarmarsh,
Terokkar Forest,
Eastern Plaguelands

I have found one mod (Bang! Wintergrasp) for help with the next battle time, among other things.

Reason being, I edit an on-line newspaper for the Horde Role-Playing community on Steamwheedle Cartel. Many of these folks are avid PvPers. I would like to provide more accurate information for my readers, but I'm sure there are others who would be interested in this kind of data!

The thing is that what would be the difference between someone getting ganked and someone losing in these zones? Slippery slopes

I was actually thinking about trying to track Wintergrasp but I haven't looked to see what functions are available for that zone.

seems like WG continues to gain in popularity, lag not withstanding, would really be nice to get concrete data. I am in Whirlwind BG and to be honest, would love to have rebuttals to all the QQ that follows each and every WG, and how badly the allies sux at WG.

On our server at least, it doesn't really matter. It seems whoever is attacking wins 90% of the time.

Attacking is totally easier mainly due to people being there to only kill the other side and not bother about capturing the towers down south so they have less vehicles available.... /sigh at people not wanting to do strategies =(

Interesting, I always hear people say attackers always win, but on my server that only applies when horde is attacking - when we defend we hold it probably 75% of games I've played. Think we just win a lot though, or else I've been very lucky, but I certainly haven't seen it that attackers have the easier time, maybe other factions/servers don't bother with the towers though, while we always have a decent sized team going for them when we defend.
